A Place of New Beginnings is a faith based nonprofit re-entry program serving the needs of men and women released from the Chesapeake City jail.

Our Mission:

Inspired by Christ's compassion and in collaboration with community resources, A Place of New Beginnings offers support and direction to ex-prisoners providing an opportunity to re-enter society as productive and responsible citizens.

What We Do:

  • Identify re-entry candidates through an application process.
  • Initiate steps for re-entry during incarceration.
  • Provide mentors.
  • Develop a life recovery plan.
  • Coordinate needs through collaborative community relationships.
  • Rebuild and restore personal relationships.
  • Promote successful employment.
  • Establish safe housing.
